It appears Zee 24 Ghantalu, a subsidiary of Zee TV, has taken a completely pro-Telangana stand, much against the journalistic standards.

Zee 24 Ghantalu news head Sailesh Reddy, who hails from Mahbubnagar district, was once a beneficiary of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu. Now, he is pampering the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. He is now openly supporting the movement for a separate Telangana state. So much so some of the vehicles of this channel have changed their registration no. from ‘AP’ to ‘TG’ Incidentallly, it was this channel which gave a scrolling the other day, saying the TDP had decided to take pro-United Andhra stand. The scrolling came at a time when lakhs of students were holding meeting at the Osmania University. It caused a lot of embarrassment to the TDP leaders, who immediately condemned the news.

Heard that Chandrababu Naidu who was upset with the channel lodged a complaint with Zee TV chairrman Subhash Chandra. The management is likely to take action against Sailesh Reddy, say sources.
