With his spiked hair and French beard, actor Nagarjuna has become a talking point in T-Town. People, who had last seen him with his grey beard and shaved head as he prepared for his role in "Shirdi Sai Baba", were spotted gaping at him post the recent drastic makeover for his upcoming film. Even director Raghavendra Rao, had a stunned expression on his face, as Nag stepped out of his car for a promotional event of his film.Published Date: 2012-07-06 04:46:31 GMT
When quizzed, how at 50-plus, the actor is still able to give the younger lot a run for their money, Nag replied, "I'm playing a lover boy in director Dasarath's film which has Nayanthara as the female lead. Dasarath wanted me to sport spiked hair as the character in the film is an NRI. So, I changed my hairstyle and to look different, I added the French beard!"
While Nag's new appearance makes him look like a party-happy young guy, he maintains that playing Shirdi Sai changed him as a person. "Before I would never notice, but now I somehow get to see Sai everyday — while driving I see him on some poster or the other or painted on an auto, truck or vehicle. In fact, this was the only film that went off without a hitch. I shot nonstop for three months."
