Announcing release dates well in advance seems to be the latest trend in Tollywood. Puri Jagannath started it and seems like director Srinu Vaitla also has taken a cue from him. Producer Ganesh Babu has announced that the NTR starrer Badshah is going to be releasing as a Sankrathi offering for his fans.

The cast and crew of the movie are currently shooting in Italy. Story writers Kona Venkat and Gopimohan are on their way to Milan to join the film's unit which is filming some song sequences in some picturesque locales of Italy. This shooting schedule will continue until the end of the month after which the unit will move to Bangkok for a fresh schedule.

There are a lot of hopes riding on this film considering this is the first time Srinu Vaitla and NTR Jr are working together in a film. Kajal Aggarwal in playing the female lead in the movie. There has been a lot of curiosity surrounding NTR Jr's new look in the movie. NTR has gone without a hit to name for a long time now and he will be hoping this Sankranthi will usher in the much needed swing in fortune.
