Godavari girl Neetu Chandra, who was famously seen in 13B, is going global. Yes, she has been approached by an international production house, but all that she is ready to say is the project is "interesting".
"I was approached for this film recently, when I was working with Jayam Ravi and Ameer for Aadhi Bhagavan. "This role couldn't have come at a better time, especially since I was surrounded by too much negative publicity, link-ups and controversies," says Neetu, who is busy learning Greek these days. "I play an Indian girl being pursued by three besotted men - two are Greek and one is a Hollywood actor," she says of her role.
The film will be shot in English and Greek. Shooting begins in Cyprus in the first week of May.
ACTION GAL A certified black belt holder in Taekwondo, Neetu trained in martial arts for 11 years and is also a trained Kathak dancer, making her a strong contender for the role. They are skills that come in handy as the actress is quick to point out, "The film has action sequences that cannot be done with a harness."
The actress may not be familiar to Telugu audience, but she has done a number of films in Tami land Hindi. Bottling up lot of oomph, Neetu displayed her acting skills in many films like Traffic Signal and Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! However, her Telugu films, including her debut, Vishnu, and Satyameva Jayathe did not do well, and Kammula's film failed to give a fillip to her career here. Published Date: 2012-04-24 07:36:22 GMT
